SONOS, please do not neglect Windows Mobile devices.
Develop applications forthis OS as well - I would like to control Sonos from my Nokia Lumia 900.
Thank you in advance.

I have several Sonos components (Two Play 5s and a Play 3). They work great. Love em. I exclusively use a Windows Phone 7.5 (the best smart phone on the market in my opinion). I hate having to use a third party app on the phone to control SONOS. Windows Phone is growing in popularity. Please support the platform with a great app from SONOS.

I have 4 play 3s, 3 play 5s, and sonos amp attached to my house. Crazy that I have to buy a third party app to get them to play, while my wife can do it for free on her iphone. Cmon Sonos, get moving!

Windows RT and Windows 8 will be out soon and a Windows 8 application would be awesome..

Especially on touch enabled devices it would be super to control your sonos devices...

I second all this I'm testing an RT device and a lumia 900 and would love native apps on both

Buying a Microsoft Surface tomorrow and Sonos controller would be perfect for this kind of device!

Of course developing a Windows 8 controller optimized for touch as well as mouse & keyboard would be perfect not just for mobile devices such as Windows RT tablets (for ARM processors) but also for x86 based processors.

I have to think this is in the works - can't wait for it.

Putting it on the Nokia 920 as well as allowing for the new Surface with Windows RT... that would be pretty incredible! It's a quickly-growing ecosystem and apps like this will be very warmly welcomed by lots of users.

Its the only thing missing. Please Please Please add an app for Windows 8/RT. C'mon guys - this is a much bigger market than Win Phone 7 - you get that right? - phone would be be a bonus. If you add a windows RT app, i promise i will add a Sub to my Sonos system!

That is not an official Sonos app, it is from a 3rd party. The free apps you mention are created and supported by Sonos.

I understand that, its still ridiculous and a rip off.

Does the Sonos provide an API for developers? How they were able to write a 3rd party controller?

Just home from a Microsoft Campus Days event, with lot of information on Windows 8, RT and Phone...

Nice phones from both Nokia, Samsung and HTC.

Microsoft is without a doubt going to push the market with this new launch - no doubt about it.

Sonos you gotta support these platforms as well. People want alternative to iPhone and Android

Good to see so many others who want Sonos on their Windows Phone, I thought it was just me. Come on Sonos, love the product, but need an app we can use.

allright - looking around, we all can see Microsoft is serious about this and things are really moving forward.
if Sonos wants to stay up to date and follow the tablet/app market, then it's really about time to start building this app.
My Surface tablet is on the way here, and there is no option to manage my Sonos system - that can't happen, right ?

For a premium product like sonos it is a must have to give users there OS choice. Windows Phone 8 and Windows RT App is a must have and not really extraordinary.

No reply from SONOS Officials to all these SONOS Fans asking for Windows 8 Mobile support ?

This just doesn't sound good.

Will SONOS really support Windows phones / tablets ?

Come on - start supporting Windows and Windows Phone fully. You also should work on XBox Music Integration!

With the retirement of the Sonos Controller, and the introduction of Windows 8 with Apps for different types of Windows devices, it would be really great to match the experience for Windows users you created for iOS. Touch is no longer an Apple only market :)

Absolutely must have an app for Windows RT. My surface is crying out for Sonos, and Remote connecting to another box to control my music is a bit absurd.

Hi Ryan,

Note that Windows RT is a separate operating system than Windows Phone 8 and there's an individual Idea topic just for a Sonos Windows RT app:

I raised this with support some time ago and I am disappointed that its not happened.

Think I will start to look for another music server, this is shocking customer service.
